Laundry tips and More: all plant-based with Aromatherapy Stop the "Bounce"
Scented laundry was done by our ancestors to have fresh - clean smelling clothes. They used to dry their clothes on rosemary or lavender bushes to scent them. It was also popular to lay sprigs of lavender between the clean linens in cupboards to keep them fresh smelling.(Essential Oils Desk Reference: 2011) Here is a quick and easy way to add that fresh smell to your laundry that is healthy and beneficial for all. Ingredients:
2- 5 drops lavender ( or lemon)
2- 5 drops melaleuca (m. alternifolia)
Lavender is known for its fresh scent and melaleuca for its disinfecting power. Simply add any of these oils to a washcloth and add to your washer with the rest of your laundry. Can also add lavender of lemon to your dryer for fresh smelling linens and towels
